Traditional Comfort Hotel, Kathmandu, Nepal

Today, I woke up to a beautiful sunny morning and went to explore legendary old Katmandu. Took a long walk in the mystical Hanuman-dhoka Durbar Square, which is a beautiful complex of Hindu and Buddhist temples and shrines located at the heart of ancient Kathmandu. Most of them are designed in the pagoda style embellished with intricately carved exteriors, built between the 12th and 18th century AD. It is here that the kings of Nepal were crowned and their coronations solemnized. Up until the early 20th century, Durbar Square was the King’s royal residence and today it is a fascinating open-air museum.
