Time for spiritual awakening! Went to the mystical Muktinath Temple, one of the holiest places of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists and the most ancient Hindu temple of God Vishnu. It is located at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Himalayas at an altitude of 3,710 meters in Mustang, Nepal. It is said that the mythical Guru Rinpoche (a.k.a Padmasambhava), founder of Tibetan Buddhism, meditated at Muktinath on his way to Tibet.
Muktinath Temple has 108 water springs, a number which carries great significance in Hindu and Buddhist philosophy. I walked briskly barefoot on the cold wet temple floor in early morning, then touched each one of the 108 springs while chanting an accompanied ancient Hindu mantra: “Om Bhagavate Vasudevaya Namah!” The mantra is dedicated to God Vishnu and known as a Mukti (liberation) mantra, a spiritual formula for attaining freedom #free 🕊
Special Thank-Yous to Buddhi for this beautiful experience! 🙏🏼📿🌐
