Oh tranquility!

Spent a long weekend in a tiny little town up in the mountains of Northern Thailand close to the Burmese border. Pai is knows as a laid-back, chill-out, backpacker paradise and indeed it was. The landscapes are rustic and serene, the flowers are colorful and aromatic, the food is fresh and prepared right in front of you and the people are … well, pretty eclectic. I met some very kewl and erudite folks: from film producers, jazz musicians and local celebrities to online translators, organic farmers and global backpackers.

Life in Pai slows you down like a looong slow-mo iPhone vid … and I truly enjoyed it. I basically hang out with awesome people, ate too much lemon grass chicken and noodles, drank too much tropical fruit juice and local beer, rode my scooter around town and slept way too much. That’s about it! As my new most fav Thai person put it: My favorite plan is the “no plan, plan”.

Thank you JT, Mar, Isa, Asiram and Pai Gang! #TBs4ever #pmc

Glad you loved Pai, we thought it was amazing. Love the picture of the cat! Where was that taken?
